GovCIO LLC is seeking a fully remote IT Recruiter for its Health and Civilian Talent Acquisition team, supporting hiring efforts across the recruiting lifecycle. This role is based in the United States with occasional onsite work in Fairfax, VA, and candidates should be local to the DC/DMV area.
Role Overview
This position supports end-to-end recruiting, from requisition intake and candidate sourcing through prescreening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and hiring follow-through. The IT Recruiter will also use an applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage activities and ensure timely candidate disposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain direct working relationships with Project managers, Program Directors, and Vice Presidents from requisition through Hire.
- Receive and review requisitions for accuracy; post and market career opportunities using web and social media platforms.
- Use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to source and prescreen candidates.
- Participate in and/or schedule interviews; assist managers with quality assurance of required skills match.
- Discuss and verify clearances as part of the recruiting process.
- Negotiate contingent and firm offer letters and track all requisition and candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Provide hiring manager updates on requisition status and candidate quality checks using skills matrixes.
- Develop unique candidate pipelines in the ATS.
- Ensure all incoming candidate applications are dispositioned within 24 hours.
- Maintain contact with hard-to-find candidates using a variety of communication techniques to keep interested candidates within established pipelines.
- Participate in Talent Team or Management Stakeholder meetings as necessary.
- Participate in ad hoc proposal staffing when required.
- Attend on-site and virtual hiring events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 8 years (or commensurate experience).
- 5+ years of staffing and recruiting experience.
- Hands-on experience with iCIMS is required.
- Hands-on experience with at least one job board: LinkedIn (LinkedIn Recruiter), Indeed, Dice, or Clearance Jobs.
- Experience supporting both cleared and uncleared programs.
- Demonstrated experience supporting high volume hiring needs in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain Public Trust or an active security clearance, if required.
Preferred Skills
- Federal Civilian agency recruiting experience (examples include USCG, PBGC, DEA, USPTO, GPO, HHS, NIH, FDA, TSA, CISA, FEMA).
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of Microsoft Copilot is key.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of EEOC policies.

Compensation
Salary range: USD $85,000 - $100,000 per year.
Clearance Requirements
US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain Public Trust or an active security clearance, if that is required.
