Job Description

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections seeks a paraprofessional technical administrative assistant to support the HR Director and provide technical assistance to institution staff and the public regarding the human resources program at Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake Schools. The role independently handles a broad range of duties including staffing coordination, recruitment and hiring processes, employment relations, interpretation of rules and regulations, and serves as a backup for Workers Compensation/230.36 and Payroll.

Responsibilities

This position provides paraprofessional technical administrative assistance to the HR Director and technical assistance to institution staff and the public regarding the human resources program at Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake Schools.
Independently performs a wide variety of functions including coordination of staffing, recruitment, hiring, employment relations, application of rules and regulation guidelines.
Serves as a backup for Workers Compensation/230.36.
Serves as a backup for Payroll.

Requirements

Legally entitled to work in the United States at the time of application (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship).
Region 2 will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
