Entry-level HR Generalist in Mojave, CA supports policy enforcement, timesheet management, employee relations, and HR operations, while assisting with performance management, training coordination, and benefits enrollment; reports to the HR Business Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with company procedures
- Facilitate policy communication initiatives and employee training programs
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Review and approve employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness
- Assist in payroll preparation and coordinate with payroll vendors
- Resolve timesheet discrepancies in collaboration with employees
- Maintain precise records of employee hours, overtime, and leave time
- Provide first-level support for employee inquiries and concerns
- Assist in conducting workplace investigations under supervision
- Support conflict resolution and mediation efforts
- Foster positive employee relations through multiple HR programs
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes
- Maintain employee files and HR databases
- Support performance management processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in HR, administrative, or related roles
- Knowledge of HR principles and HR best practices
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) or willingness to pursue
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, or Ceridian
- Prior involvement in policy development or compliance activities
- Bilingual capabilities (languages to specify)
