Job Description

Avanti Holdings LLC is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the employee lifecycle across the organization.

Responsibilities

Oversee onboarding via Paylocity, including offer letters, new hire setup, onboarding workflows, and employee documentation.
Administer background checks through Checkr and ensure timely completion.
Maintain precise employee records and uphold HRIS data integrity.
Process employee changes such as status updates, pay changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Respond to HR questions from employees and managers with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
Track time-off requests, approvals, and related HR follow-ups.
Assist with payroll preparation, audits, and reporting activities.
Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
Maintain organized HR documentation, including notes to file and personnel records.
Assist with HR communications, compliance tracking, employee relations documentation, and HR projects as needed.
Assist with audits and reporting across multiple entities.
Help draft HR communications, policies, and updates.
Assist with employee relations documentation and investigations.
Track compliance items across multiple states.

Requirements

1 to 3 years of HR or administrative experience.
Experience using an HRIS system, with Paylocity preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication and a professional demeanor.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.

Job Details

Location: San Antonio, TX (onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; weekends as needed

Growth and Development Responsibilities

What Will Set You Apart

2 to 4 years of Human Resources experience.
Prior experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, People Coordinator, or similar HR support role preferred.
Experience with Paylocity, ADP, or another HRIS system preferred.
Exposure to onboarding, employee records, payroll preparation, benefits, or compliance tracking strongly preferred.
Experience supporting multi-location, multi-state, franchise, fitness, wellness, healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or retail teams is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
People-first mindset with empathy, professionalism, and care for employees and managers.
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, take initiative, follow through, and go above and beyond when needed.
