Job Description

The HR Recruiter role at SpectraCare Health Systems combines full-cycle recruiting with strategic staffing support across the organization’s mental health, substance use, and developmental disability divisions. Based onsite in Dothan, AL, the position builds and maintains a pool of qualified staff, coordinates with program managers, and ensures staffing needs align with program requirements. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Manage recruitment and hiring for SpectraCare positions in accordance with program standards.
Actively source candidates through multiple channels, including job fairs, college events, social media, and job boards, to build a strong candidate pipeline.
Screen applicants by reviewing resumes and applications, ensuring alignment with Alabama Department of Mental Health Standards and SpectraCare program descriptions.
Schedule and conduct interviews as needed.
Efficiently fill open positions to meet the staffing demands of SpectraCare programs.
Perform new hire screenings, including reference checks, background checks, MVR, TB testing, OIG exclusions, SAMS and drug screens.
Stay informed about recruiting trends and best practices in the field.
Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources during the offer process, addressing start dates, salary considerations, and other relevant details.

Requirements

BS Degree in Business, Human Resources and/or related field required.
Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources experience with knowledge of employment law, procedures, and recruiting.
Valid Driver License with a good MVR.
Free from DUI and reckless driving convictions for the previous three (3) years.

Position Summary / Function

The position may require exercising independent judgment in certain decisions, and travel may be required.

Required Qualifications / Education / Experience

BS Degree in Business, Human Resources and/or related field required.
Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources experience with knowledge of employment law, procedures, and recruiting.
Possession of a valid Driver License with good MVR.
Free from DUI and reckless driving convictions for the previous three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications / Education / Experience

Master's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Five (5) plus years of experience in Human Resources.
Three (3) plus years of experience in the mental health, substance abuse, or intellectual disability field.
