Job Description

The Human Resource Manager role at a processing facility in Leicester, NY oversees the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. This position manages HR programs, leads staff, and emphasizes employee relations; union experience is a plus and conversational Spanish is preferred but not required.

USD 80,000 - 95,000 per year

Responsibilities

Oversee and interpret HR policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements, ensuring proper site-level administration.
Lead recruitment for full-time and seasonal roles, conduct interviews, select qualified candidates, and run new-hire orientations.
Manage the site-level Seneca Employee Benefits program and communicate eligibility and offerings.
Administer FMLA and STD leave, safety initiatives, and workers' compensation programs.
Deliver required HR and legal compliance training to all employees.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure documentation is up to date.

Requirements

College degree is required.
Four or more years of progressively responsible HR experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience working with monolingual employees on a regular basis.
Conversational Spanish is preferred but not required.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Excellent communication skills across verbal, listening, written, and computer proficiency.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to employees at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Union relations experience is a plus.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.
