Job Description

The Human Resources Director at Etowah Landing Care & Rehabilitation Center leads the on-site HR function in Rome, GA, directing recruitment, employee relations, staff development, compliance, and benefits administration to support the facility’s mission and foster a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end recruitment and staffing, from creating and posting job requisitions, through applicant screening and interviewing, to onboarding new hires and delivering orientation programs.
Supervise employee relations, addressing conflicts, guiding disciplinary actions when necessary, and administering formal grievance procedures in alignment with policy and compliance standards.
Partner with department leaders to assess staffing requirements and shape effective workforce planning initiatives aligned with service goals.
Administer benefits programs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential HR records and personnel data in accordance with privacy standards and organizational policy.
Keep current with labor laws and regulatory changes, translating updates into practical policy and practice across the HR function.
Promote a constructive workplace by sustaining open channels of communication, implementing recognition programs, and driving ongoing employee engagement initiatives to support retention and morale.

Requirements

Preferred: proven experience as an HR manager or director within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, applicable labor laws, and regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare operations.
Demonstrated leadership ability and effective people-management skills to guide teams and influence organizational outcomes.
Excellent written and oral communication, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion in line with privacy standards and policy.
