Job Description
The Human Resources Director at Etowah Landing Care & Rehabilitation Center leads the on-site HR function in Rome, GA, directing recruitment, employee relations, staff development, compliance, and benefits administration to support the facility’s mission and foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and staffing, from creating and posting job requisitions, through applicant screening and interviewing, to onboarding new hires and delivering orientation programs.
- Supervise employee relations, addressing conflicts, guiding disciplinary actions when necessary, and administering formal grievance procedures in alignment with policy and compliance standards.
- Partner with department leaders to assess staffing requirements and shape effective workforce planning initiatives aligned with service goals.
- Administer benefits programs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential HR records and personnel data in accordance with privacy standards and organizational policy.
- Keep current with labor laws and regulatory changes, translating updates into practical policy and practice across the HR function.
- Promote a constructive workplace by sustaining open channels of communication, implementing recognition programs, and driving ongoing employee engagement initiatives to support retention and morale.
Requirements
- Preferred: proven experience as an HR manager or director within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, applicable labor laws, and regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare operations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and effective people-management skills to guide teams and influence organizational outcomes.
- Excellent written and oral communication, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion in line with privacy standards and policy.
