Job Description

HBK CPA is seeking a dynamic People Partner to support its Midwest offices and national HR initiatives. This onsite role is based in Warrendale, PA and requires 3-4 days in the office each week, with travel to Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The position covers onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations.

Responsibilities

Manage onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
Facilitate integration and retention strategies for new employees.
Partner with leadership and resource management to identify hiring needs.
Assist the Campus Recruiting Lead with local campus events as needed.
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR matters.
Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and PIPs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Conduct investigations and manage employee separations with discretion and professionalism.
Maintain accurate records in HRIS (Workday experience preferred) and generate reports.
Support inclusion and employee engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify training needs.
Promote firm-wide programs and events in partnership with other offices.
Collaborate with cross-functional HR functions including recruiting, total rewards, resource management and learning and development.
Provide insights from HR data to inform business decisions.
Support organizational change and workforce planning initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in HCM systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of discretion and professionalism.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
