Job Description
HBK CPA is seeking a dynamic People Partner to support its Midwest offices and national HR initiatives. This onsite role is based in Warrendale, PA and requires 3-4 days in the office each week, with travel to Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The position covers onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
- Facilitate integration and retention strategies for new employees.
- Partner with leadership and resource management to identify hiring needs.
- Assist the Campus Recruiting Lead with local campus events as needed.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR matters.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and PIPs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Conduct investigations and manage employee separations with discretion and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records in HRIS (Workday experience preferred) and generate reports.
- Support inclusion and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify training needs.
- Promote firm-wide programs and events in partnership with other offices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional HR functions including recruiting, total rewards, resource management and learning and development.
- Provide insights from HR data to inform business decisions.
- Support organizational change and workforce planning initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HCM systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
