Responsibilities
- Position is based in the Human Resources Office of a Bureau of Prisons federal correctional facility.
- Assist in administering and implementing facility HR programs.
- Develop recruitment sources and methods to support staffing needs.
- Participate in recruitment activities and advise prospective applicants.
- Schedule and conduct interviews; request certificates of eligible candidates; prepare requests for security clearances.
- Assist in administering employee relations matters, including incentive awards, the performance evaluation program, and leave administration.
- Administer the incentive awards program, the performance evaluation program, and the leave administration program.
- Assist in administering the employee-management relations program to maintain stable, cooperative relations between management and line staff.
- Provide advisory services to a wide range of employees; advise timekeepers, employees, managers, and supervisors on leave regulations.
- Maintain security of the institution as part of correctional responsibilities; correctional duties take precedence and are performed regularly.
Requirements

- Career Transition Programs (CTAP or ICTAP) considerations: eligibility, well-qualified rating (at least half of the total points for the vacancy KSAs), and submission of appropriate documentation.
