Job Description

Caretech is seeking an onsite Talent Acquisition Specialist & HR Coordinator in North Platte, Nebraska. This role focuses on attracting, recruiting, and onboarding caregivers and support staff, serving as the primary contact throughout the hiring journey to ensure a positive candidate experience. The position offers a base salary of USD 40,000 per year, with opportunities for performance bonuses tied to new hires, retention milestones, and branch goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement recruiting plans to increase caregiver applicants and improve quality.
Actively source candidates via job boards, social media, events, community partnerships, schools, and referrals.
Lead field recruiting efforts at job fairs and career events to build the candidate pipeline.
Engage passive candidates currently employed by competitors and other healthcare organizations.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs.
Monitor recruiting metrics and suggest improvements to processes and sources.
Review applications and assess candidate qualifications.
Conduct initial phone screens and interviews.
Evaluate candidates for culture fit, professionalism, reliability, and caregiving competencies.
Coordinate interviews with branch leadership when necessary.
Maintain accurate applicant records and documentation.
Manage candidates through all stages of the hiring process.
Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
Ensure all hiring documentation is completed accurately and timely.
Communicate regularly with candidates to maintain engagement throughout onboarding.
Monitor onboarding progress and proactively address delays or barriers.
Ensure new hires attend scheduled orientation sessions.
Confirm all required training and onboarding activities are completed.
Facilitate a smooth handoff from recruiting to operations.
Introduce new employees to their Care Coordinator and branch team.
Support employee engagement during the first 90 days of employment.
Conduct follow-up calls with newly hired employees.
Identify early retention concerns and partner with branch leadership to resolve issues.
Assist with employee recognition and referral initiatives.
Support workforce development programs and recruiting campaigns.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of recruiting, staffing, customer service, healthcare, or related experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to build relationships and influence candidates throughout the hiring process.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting technology platforms.

Technologies

Preferred Qualifications

Experience recruiting caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, DSPs, or healthcare personnel.
Experience with applicant tracking systems.
Knowledge of home care, healthcare staffing, or human resources practices.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Job Description

Onsite in North Platte, Nebraska, this Human Resource Coordinator/Payroll role supports payroll operations and HR functions for Adept Nursing & Rehab of North Platte. The position manages payroll administration, benefits coordination, compliance, and employee relations to keep the facility running smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements. A high school diploma is required, with some college coursework preferred and prior HR or payroll coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Keeps staff informed about updates to personnel policies and procedures and ensures adherence to applicable rules.
Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons for separation.
Collaborates with department managers to support them in handling personnel matters.
Administers the workers' compensation program and works with the carrier to ensure timely processing of claims.
Manages the employee benefits program and assists with the annual benefits open enrollment process.
Aids department managers with disciplinary actions and ensures they are applied fairly and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Establishes and maintains an organized filing system for the Human Resources Department.

Requirements

High school diploma is required; some college coursework is preferred.

Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, maintain personal integrity, and collaborate effectively with residents, personnel, families, and support agencies.
Demonstrates leadership, tactful interpersonal communication, and strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with federal and state regulations and OSHA requirements.
