Job Description

Onsite in North Platte, Nebraska, this Human Resource Coordinator/Payroll role supports payroll operations and HR functions for Adept Nursing & Rehab of North Platte. The position manages payroll administration, benefits coordination, compliance, and employee relations to keep the facility running smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements. A high school diploma is required, with some college coursework preferred and prior HR or payroll coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps staff informed about updates to personnel policies and procedures and ensures adherence to applicable rules.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons for separation.
  • Collaborates with department managers to support them in handling personnel matters.
  • Administers the workers' compensation program and works with the carrier to ensure timely processing of claims.
  • Manages the employee benefits program and assists with the annual benefits open enrollment process.
  • Aids department managers with disciplinary actions and ensures they are applied fairly and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Establishes and maintains an organized filing system for the Human Resources Department.
  • Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a warm, respectful, and caring manner.
  • Communicates effectively with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
  • Attends departmental meetings and in-service trainings as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is required; some college coursework is preferred.
  • Experience as an HR/Payroll Coordinator is required.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, maintain personal integrity, and collaborate effectively with residents, personnel, families, and support agencies.
  • Demonstrates leadership, tactful interpersonal communication, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations and OSHA requirements.
