Job Description

Picuris Pueblo invites a qualified HR professional to lead people operations as the Human Resources Manager in Peñasco, NM. This onsite role offers an hourly wage range of $24 to $30 and a benefits package designed to support long-term well-being and financial security. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

As HR Manager, you will oversee the full spectrum of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, development, performance management, and regulatory compliance, to attract, develop, and retain a skilled and motivated workforce.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent
Manage the hiring lifecycle including postings, interviews, and onboarding
Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs
Address employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution
Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
Create and implement performance appraisal systems
Monitor performance and provide guidance for improvement
Assess training needs and coordinate development programs
Lead leadership development and skills-building initiatives
Oversee compensation structure and benefits offerings
Maintain competitive salary frameworks
Ensure adherence to labor laws and employment regulations
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation

Support change management and organizational development efforts

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
3 to 5 years of HR management experience
Solid knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
Demonstrated leadership and sound decision-making abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
