Job Description

The Human Resource Coordinator role is an onsite position with Jetro / Restaurant Depot in Whitestone, NY. The role provides administrative and professional support across the HR/Payroll Team, assisting with recruitment, benefits, training, employee relations, labor relations, HRIS access, administrative duties, and special projects.

Responsibilities

Distribute and collect requisitions post jobs
Assist in the new hire orientation
Provide basic benefit information
Back up the Benefits Team in benefit enrollment and de-enrollment
Schedule training programs
Assist in the production, delivery, and follow-up of training programs
Provide basic support to managers and supervisors regarding employee information or concerns
Receive and process employee concerns
Maintain a log of all employee issues
Schedule grievance meetings and collect materials in preparation for each meeting
Provide and manage user access to the company ATS, onboarding, and timekeeping platforms
Prepare, collect, and distribute departmental mail
Respond to subpoenas
Provide employee verifications
Support and organize blood drives, contests, and other initiatives
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Self-starter with a very high level of follow-through and detail orientation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work with ambiguity
Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to consistently work overtime
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
