Human Resources Business Advisor (HR Officer)
Job Description
Hybrid, Phoenix, AZ based HR Business Advisor role with the City of Phoenix, offering a salary range of $86,590.40 to $127,920 annually.
Responsibilities
- Lead workplace investigations and document findings.
- Attend disciplinary and grievance hearings and provide input as needed.
- Support programs for employee development and engagement.
- Contribute to HR strategy and policy development.
- Oversee labor relations activities and guidance.
- Administer FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs.
- Design and deliver training sessions and presentations.
- Assist with workforce planning and staffing analyses.
- Provide recruitment support across departments.
- Perform compensation analyses as required.
Requirements
- Three years of professional HR management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, public or business administration, or a related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
- Finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.

Salary
- Pay Range: $86,590.40 to $127,920 annually.
- Hiring Range: $86,590.40 to $105,248 annually.
- Pay Range Explanation: Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.
- Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer; actual salary offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
- Internal Only: Pay grade 066; salary offers based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet per City Pay Ordinance.
- Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.
- Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease.
- Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.
- When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may be changes to classification or unit.
