Human Resources Field Coordinator
Job Description
This role supports site-based HR operations for hourly field staff on Moss.com projects in Wilson, Arkansas, onsite.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site hub for HR administration and support for hourly personnel.
- Assist project managers and superintendents with a range of daily operational needs.
- Oversee timely and accurate processing of hourly time records.
- Monitor hours worked, verify accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and answer payroll inquiries for staff.
- Assist recruiters with sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for hourly field roles; cultivate relationships with local workforce programs, trade schools, and community partners to strengthen talent pipelines and raise community visibility.
- Facilitate onboarding tasks for hourly hires, including coordinating pre-employment drug testing, completing Workday actions, and ensuring readiness for day one.
- Process offboarding for hourly staff in HR systems, ensuring proper documentation and compliance, and escalate issues to the appropriate HR Business Partner.
- Support adherence to company policies, labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Promote alignment with Moss's core values while mitigating potential risk.
- Provide guidance on general employee questions and escalate complex issues to HR Business Partners when needed.
- Maintain accurate employee data and generate reports on headcount, timekeeping, and other key HR metrics.
- Assist with audits and reporting for programs including IRA, MV Travelers, Warranty/MC4 claims, Commissioning, Apprenticeship, and other special initiatives.
- Administer system workflows for hourly staff, covering transfers, data changes, promotions, pay adjustments, hours and cost code tracking, and per diem management across Workday, TCP, and other HR platforms.
- Support DOT program applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and collection of required documentation.
- Oversee orange vest program assets, maintain stock levels, and reorder as needed.
- Track staff meeting the 30-day vest transition criterion from orange to green and facilitate a smooth upgrade process.
- Support a seamless transition process for employees moving from orange to green vests.
Requirements
- Demonstrates reliable work ethic, professionalism, and a constructive attitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to manage daily and weekly priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication and follow-up skills, with clear information delivery.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
- Effective time management and problem-solving capabilities to complete tasks efficiently.
- Approach tasks pragmatically with attention to detail.
- Adaptable with a positive attitude toward changing on-site conditions and interactions.
- Committed to confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information.
- Education: associate degree, high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; construction industry experience is a plus.
- 1 to 2 years of administrative experience preferred.
- Travel flexibility preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
