Job Description

Patrol Security and Guard, Inc. is seeking a Security Company Recruiter & Scheduler to support staffing needs for client sites in Chatsworth, CA through effective recruiting, onboarding coordination, and weekly scheduling. This role helps ensure posts are staffed with qualified security officers by building a reliable candidate pipeline and responding quickly to call-offs and emergency shift changes.

This is an onsite position supporting a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, responsiveness, and consistent communication are key to keeping schedules accurate and coverage uninterrupted.

Role summary

You will recruit and screen applicants, verify required documentation, coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires, and create and maintain weekly security officer schedules. You will also assign officers to client locations based on availability and qualifications, and you will manage rapid coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

Recruit and interview security guard applicants
Post job openings and actively source qualified candidates
Review applications and conduct phone screenings
Verify Guard Cards and required employment documentation
Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation
Create and maintain weekly security officer schedules
Assign officers to client locations based on availability and qualifications
Quickly fill call-offs, open shifts, and emergency coverage
Maintain a pool of available and backup security officers
Communicate schedule changes with officers and supervisors
Track employee availability, attendance, and time-off requests
Assist management with staffing needs for new accounts
Maintain organized employee and recruiting records

Requirements

3 years of recruiting experience (required)
3 years of scheduling experience (required)
Recruiting, scheduling, staffing, or security industry experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable making a high volume of calls and following up with applicants
Ability to handle last-minute staffing situations
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Dependable and professional
Basic computer skills
Experience with Indeed or other recruiting platforms is a plus
Knowledge of the California security industry and Guard Card requirements is a plus

Job Description

RTCA is hiring a Recruiter for a full-time, onsite role in Chatsworth, CA. This 6-month temporary project may convert based on business needs. You’ll support a smooth recruiting experience end-to-end while partnering closely with hiring managers and the broader HR team.

What you’ll do

Manage candidates through the full recruitment life cycle, from resume review and phone/video prescreens to onsite interview coordination, offer negotiation, and support for onboarding.
Review applications to evaluate candidates’ skill sets and determine which positions and job levels they are best suited for.
Conduct phone and/or video interviews to assess qualifications, competencies, and career goals.
Source actively using platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other professional resources, including outreach messaging and direct phone calls to engage passive candidates.
Partner with hiring managers to present well-vetted recommendations based on prescreen findings and fit.
Administer skills testing as part of the qualification process.
Coordinate onsite interview logistics and keep the process moving by driving timely feedback from hiring managers.
Provide consistent, professional pipeline communication so candidates have a positive experience.
Develop offer recommendations and negotiate offers aligned with candidate expectations, qualifications, and budget considerations.
Maintain accurate, organized candidate documentation throughout the recruiting process.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring

Previous experience with full-cycle recruiting, including resume review, sourcing, and use of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Proven ability to proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and similar platforms.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence.
Comfortable and experienced conducting phone and video prescreens.
Strong typing skills to take detailed notes while screening candidates.
Ability to develop interview questions that assess both hard (technical) and soft (personality) skills.
Sound judgment to evaluate skill sets and determine fit for hiring-team consideration.
Experience using Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proficiency maintaining accurate recruiting documentation and records.

Compensation and benefits

Pay range: $25 - $30 per hour (onsite California applicants), commensurate with experience.
