Responsibilities
- Manage the hiring workflow for faculty and academic staff, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and onboarding steps
- Support logistics for candidate visits and interview itineraries
- Assist departmental search committees through the full recruitment and selection cycle
- Help with visa processing and employment documentation for international faculty and scholars
- Support equitable and inclusive hiring by coordinating search processes and related documentation
- Maintain hiring records in line with university procedures and retention policies
- Coordinate and administer personnel processes for faculty, staff, temporary workers, graduate assistants, and student employees
- Serve as a resource for HR questions, policies, procedures, and operational processes
- Interpret and apply university policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements in routine matters
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation support, required training coordination, and employment documents
- Assist with payroll transactions, employment updates, and related personnel processing tasks
- Maintain confidential HR records in accordance with university requirements
- Compile and organize HR information and reports to support departmental operations and decision making
- Coordinate hiring and employment actions for graduate assistants, student employees, temporary staff, and on-call workers
- Process hiring paperwork, payroll approvals, and related employment actions
- Assist supervisors and staff with employment procedures and timelines
- Maintain employment records and documentation
- Support departmental HR initiatives, projects, and process improvements
- Support operational activities and perform related administrative duties as assigned
- Assist with maintaining departmental records, documentation, and reporting materials
- Create and manage content for departmental social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Update the department website with current news, events, and announcements
- Maintain and update the CSE intranet directory to ensure accuracy of faculty, staff, and other departmental information
- Contribute to a collaborative, customer-service focused office environment
- Perform additional duties aligned with the role and classification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational leadership, public administration, or related field
- Six months to one year of related experience in HR or departmental operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Work environment and schedule
