Job Description

AbbVie seeks a Recruiter in Talent Acquisition to support a dedicated team, develop sourcing strategies, manage open requisitions in SmartRecruiters, and deliver recruiting metrics along with market insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

Recruitment will target a specific team or function, with the possibility of coverage in other areas as assigned.
Build and sustain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current openings and future needs.
Conduct pre-screenings, support project management, collaborate with teammates to design sourcing strategies, and provide talent for open roles.
Proactively identify, source, and manage talent pools aligned with business priorities.
Oversee open requisitions, keep SmartRecruiters up to date, achieve recruiting metrics, and communicate key results; share knowledge, industry overviews, and analytics with team members and leaders.
Prepare and approve offer packages, leveraging equity and market competitiveness data.
Maintain compliance with state and federal employment laws and AbbVie policies for applicant tracking and reporting metrics.
Establish a true business partnership with hiring managers and leadership on all staffing activities and issues.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience in a fast paced, competitive environment; 5+ years preferred.
Strong business presence with the ability to build client confidence and deliver results.
Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience is essential.
Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
Experience managing requisitions within SmartRecruiters is preferred.

Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role in Florham Park, NJ (hybrid) at Barnes & Noble Education, Inc. focuses on guiding full-cycle recruitment across designated business areas and delivering an outstanding candidate experience.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end recruitment for the assigned business areas, overseeing the process from intake to offer and onboarding transition.

Partner with Compensation and business leaders to develop competitive offer recommendations aligned with market conditions and internal equity.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a corporate, agency, or high-volume talent acquisition environment.
Proven success sourcing, attracting, assessing, and hiring talent across a variety of functions and levels, with strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing methodologies, and candidate evaluation techniques.
Strong consulting, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and business leaders to develop recruitment strategies and influence hiring decisions.
Knowledge of employment-related hiring regulations, including pay transparency requirements and recruitment compliance standards.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing platforms, AI-powered recruiting tools, and other talent acquisition technologies.
Ability to leverage recruiting metrics, market intelligence, and talent insights to drive hiring decisions and continuous process improvement.
Experience managing external recruiting vendors, staffing partners, and job board relationships.
Familiarity with employer branding, recruitment marketing, and candidate engagement strategies.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
