The City of Henderson, NV is hiring for a Human Resources Analyst role within the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Division. This onsite position supports analytical and administrative HR work tied to recruiting, with the possibility of being hired at either the Human Resources Analyst I or Human Resources Analyst II level. If selected, you may be placed on an eligibility list used to fill vacancies for up to one (1) year, with two (2) vacancies to be filled.

Responsibilities
- Human Resources Analyst I: Performs analytical and technical human resources work across various areas of the Human Resources Department and completes related duties as assigned.
- Human Resources Analyst II: Performs highly technical, administrative, and analytical work in support of assigned division, specialized programs, and compliance initiatives. Provides leadership, training, and guidance to assigned staff; serves as a subject matter resource to employees, supervisors, and managers; and completes related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience working in talent acquisition or recruitment in a human resources department
- An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license as defined by NRS 483
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based records check, and a wants/warrants check
- Must obtain and maintain Security Awareness and NCIC/NCJIS certification upon hire or transfer, and recertify as needed; maintaining NCIC/NCJIS is required for continued employment
Human Resources Analyst II experience requirement: A total of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources department, with at least two (2) years working directly in talent acquisition or recruitment. Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may be considered.
Desirable (not required): public sector HR experience; union and non-union recruiting experience; SHRM or IPMA-HR human resources professional certification; experience in multiple HR disciplines.
Salary and Work Schedule
Annual pay is level-dependent:
- Human Resources Analyst I: $31.58 - $47.37 Hourly (Non-Exempt)
- Human Resources Analyst II: $73,633.55 - $110,450.33 Annually (Exempt)
The City provides a base wage increase upon successful completion of the Initial Probationary or Qualifying Period, plus an annual pay adjustment increase or lump sum bonus (as applicable). The schedule includes a four-day, 38-hour workweek (Monday to Thursday).
