Job Description

Responsibilities

Handle recruitment for direct labor roles
Conduct interviews, manage background checks, verify employment authorizations, and lead new hire orientation
Process weekly timekeeping and maintain attendance calendars
Investigate employee concerns, partner with management, and coordinate actions to resolve issues
Review disciplinary actions and termination documents, involving appropriate partners as needed
Maintain active and terminated personnel files
Assist with Bureau of Workers Compensation Cases
Support between employees and operations to approve weekly timesheets
Coordinate and distribute labor and hiring reporting to Management
Other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

Minimum 3 years in a Human Resources Manager role at a company with 150+ employees
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience will substitute
3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to multitask and self-motivate
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Fully computer literate including MS Office Suites, ATS experience, and the ability to learn Paylocity within the first 30 days
Professional attitude and demeanor with management and employees
Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills
Extremely detailed and organized
Demonstrated knowledge of office machines including copier/scanner and multi-line phone systems

The Human Resources Generalist supports daily HR operations under the Chief Resources Director, handling onboarding, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti harassment training, and professional certifications
Upload all information electronically into employee personnel files on Paycom
Prepare, schedule, and oversee orientation, onboarding, and training for all new hires
Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants; collaborate with leadership to identify required skills and competencies
Conduct or obtain background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs in partnership with the Employee Engagement Committee
Execute routine HR program tasks including compensation, benefits, and leave administration
Manage disciplinary matters in partnership with the Chief Resources Director
Handle disputes and investigations in partnership with the Chief Resources Director
Support performance and talent management processes
Support productivity, recognition, and morale initiatives
Oversee occupational health and safety matters
Coordinate training and development activities
Respond to employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, directing complex or sensitive issues to appropriate staff
Attend and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review policies to ensure ongoing compliance
Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in talent management and employment law
Perform other duties as assigned
