Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist supports daily HR operations under the Chief Resources Director, handling onboarding, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and policy enforcement.

Salary

  • USD 38,862.93 - 46,802.66 per year

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti harassment training, and professional certifications
  • Upload all information electronically into employee personnel files on Paycom
  • Prepare, schedule, and oversee orientation, onboarding, and training for all new hires
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants; collaborate with leadership to identify required skills and competencies
  • Conduct or obtain background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs in partnership with the Employee Engagement Committee
  • Execute routine HR program tasks including compensation, benefits, and leave administration
  • Manage disciplinary matters in partnership with the Chief Resources Director
  • Handle disputes and investigations in partnership with the Chief Resources Director
  • Support performance and talent management processes
  • Support productivity, recognition, and morale initiatives
  • Oversee occupational health and safety matters
  • Coordinate training and development activities
  • Respond to employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, directing complex or sensitive issues to appropriate staff
  • Attend and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review policies to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in talent management and employment law
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems quickly
