Job Description

Role Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator will help run day-to-day HR activities and act as a go-to contact for employees. The position focuses on coordinating onboarding, maintaining HR systems, supporting payroll and benefits administration, and ensuring adherence to company policies and employment regulations.

This detail-oriented role supports both employee experience and administrative accuracy across HR and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations and Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and internal systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
  • Assist with audits and documentation requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information

Payroll and Financial Support

  • Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping reviews, and data validation
  • Coordinate with finance and leadership to support payroll accuracy and timely processing
  • Maintain and organize payroll records, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Support upkeep of financial documents related to employee compensation, reimbursements, and benefits
  • Assist with tracking labor costs, reports, and internal documentation as needed

Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required documentation
  • Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and final paperwork
  • Track employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations

Recruiting Support

  • Post job openings and manage applicant tracking systems
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with hiring managers
  • Assist with background checks and preparation of offer letters

Employee Experience and Engagement

  • Support internal communications and HR initiatives
  • Assist with training sessions, company meetings, and employee events
  • Answer employee questions related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare HR and payroll-related reports and track key metrics
  • Support compliance with wage and hour regulations and internal policies

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of HR, payroll, administrative, or related experience
  • Associate degree, HR certification, or equivalent work experience preferred (Bachelor’s degree not required)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP or Gusto preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial and employee data with discretion

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
