Job Description

UNMB Home Loans Inc is seeking a part-time Human Resources Generalist to help manage HR operations, employee relations, and compliance from its Levittown, New York office. This role covers recruitment, onboarding, performance management, policy guidance, and aligning HR initiatives with business goals to foster a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Lead talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
Coordinate new-hire orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
Administer performance evaluations and support employee development through formal performance management processes.
Drive change management efforts to boost organizational effectiveness.
Maintain compliance with FMLA, OSHA, and other employment laws while advising on HR policies.
Manage benefits administration and workforce planning to optimize employee satisfaction.
Utilize HRIS platforms for data entry, payroll processing, and reporting; familiar with systems such as Workday, ADP, and Oracle HCM among others.
Contribute to affirmative action planning and succession planning to promote diversity and inclusion.
Address employee relations issues, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning to align HR objectives with business goals.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in human resources management with a solid understanding of core HR principles.
Knowledge of employment and labor law regulations and best practices in change management.
Strong project management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
Proficiency with HR software such as Paychex, Dayforce, Ceridian, or SAP SuccessFactors.
Experience in collecting and analyzing HR data to inform decision-making.
Knowledge of conflict management techniques to resolve workplace disputes amicably.
Administrative experience in an HR setting is preferred.
Familiarity with social media management for employer branding purposes.
