Matic is building home robotics that operate reliably in real households, and the Technical Recruiter role supports that mission by constructing talent pipelines for technical hiring. This position focuses on sourcing hard-to-find candidates, partnering with hiring managers and founders on role expectations, and refining outreach based on what actually works.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-quality pipelines for technical roles spanning robotics, ML/AI, embedded systems, and software engineering
- Create research-driven sourcing strategies to identify candidates who are not actively looking
- Produce outreach that is personalized, specific, and grounded in a genuine understanding of each candidate’s background
- Partner with hiring managers and founders to define what “great” looks like for each role
- Track and interpret the talent landscape, including who is doing relevant work, where they work, and what could make them open to conversation
- Iterate continuously on sourcing and outreach methods based on results and feedback
Requirements
- Ability to reason through difficult hiring challenges, develop sourcing strategies, and adapt quickly as new information emerges
- Intellectual rigor in sourcing, applied in a way similar to strong engineering problem-solving
- Focus on fit and role alignment rather than funnel management or closing-rate targets
- Preference for judgment and honest conversations over pressure-based tactics
- Mission-driven motivation and interest in joining Matic specifically
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and taking ownership
- Ability to build processes from scratch and work independently
- Experience working in a small-team environment without a large recruiting org around you

- Boolean search
- LinkedIn Recruiter
- ATS
- Ashby
- greenhouse
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and equity
Company Overview
Matic is on a mission to recapture lost time by revolutionizing home robotics. The product is a floor cleaning robot with real-time 3D mapping, adaptive path-tracking, and semantic understanding of the home.
Matic’s spatial AI enables reliable operation in real homes using only RGB cameras and neural networks that run on-device.
Privacy First
Data processing is performed by the robot itself rather than in the cloud, and what happens in the home stays in the home.
Our Approach
Matic’s progression for home robotics starts with single-purpose robots and iterates over time toward increasingly complex capabilities.
Culture
The team is tight-knit and collaborative, focused on building products customers will value. Team members are committed to solving tough problems that save time and energy.
