Human Resources Generalist /Recruiter
Job Description
Housing Connector is hiring a full-time Recruiter and HR Generalist to support hiring and day-to-day People operations in a hybrid setting in Seattle. This role combines full-cycle recruiting with HR systems ownership and ongoing improvements to People programs as the organization grows.
Role Overview
In this position, you will manage the full recruiting lifecycle from intake through an accepted offer, while also administering HRIS and supporting core People processes across onboarding, benefits, employee data, and recurring programs. You will partner closely with hiring managers, maintain reliable recruiting and workforce reporting, and use data and technology to streamline work and make recommendations based on real signals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting from intake through accepted offer, including recruiting strategy, candidate pipeline management, scheduling and coordination, communication, ATS activity, and follow-through.
- Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs, develop hiring strategies and interview processes, challenge assumptions, and support sound hiring decisions.
- Source, assess, and engage candidates while maintaining a strong and consistent candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate recruiting data and use pipeline and funnel insights to surface risks, inform decisions, and adjust strategy when needed.
- Keep searches moving through proactive communication, strong follow-through, and clear accountability.
- Own day-to-day HRIS administration and employee data changes to ensure accurate and reliable People data.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with hiring managers, IT, People, Accounting, and other partners to support a smooth employee experience.
- Support benefits administration and open enrollment; respond to routine employee questions and coordinate payroll-related employee changes with Accounting.
- Coordinate recurring People programs, including performance management, employee surveys, training and development, and employee events.
- Build and maintain People reporting to help the organization understand its workforce and make informed decisions.
- Support planning and coordination of internal events, special projects, and other People initiatives as needs and priorities evolve.
- Bring fresh perspective and ideas to improve recruiting and People support as the organization grows.
- Use data, technology, and AI thoughtfully to simplify processes, solve problems, and move faster.
- Spot opportunities and risks and bring forward recommendations rather than waiting for direction.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a combination of both, with demonstrated experience owning full-cycle recruiting.
- Strong judgment and ownership, including knowing when to make decisions and when to escalate.
- Confidence building credibility with hiring managers, providing a point of view, and respectfully pushing back when needed.
- Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and follow-through across multiple competing priorities.
- Experience using an ATS and comfort working with HR systems, data, and reporting.
- Curiosity about the broader HR function and interest in expanding expertise and impact.
