Senior Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Located onsite in Wapato, Washington, the Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as the lead HR partner for Legendary Fruit's Wapato location, directing employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, workers’ compensation, and regulatory compliance while partnering with HR leadership to implement compliant, strategic HR programs.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR representative for the Wapato site, guiding leadership across all HR disciplines.
- Manage the workers’ compensation program, handling the full claim lifecycle for warehouse and orchard staff.
- Oversee OSHA recordkeeping, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain OSHA logs.
- Prepare and submit the annual EEO-1 Report.
- Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Advise and coach managers on employment policies, employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
- Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead required employee training and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
- Communicate policy updates and ensure training and education for employees and managers.
- Lead employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, investigations, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
- Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Analyze HR trends and recommend enhancements to processes and programs.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Minimum of five years of human resources generalist experience
- Minimum of three years of human resources supervisory experience

- Three or more years of human resources supervisory experience (required)
- Paylocity HRIS experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Compensation
Annual salary range: $83,000 – $92,000 per year

- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making capabilities

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
- Effective English communication, both verbal and written
Certificates & Licenses
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SPHR, or CCP certification preferred
Licenses
- Driver's License preferred

- Ability to access and navigate all operational areas
