Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter

SEK-CAP Inc. is seeking a Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter to deliver home-based education and support family engagement while assisting with Early Head Start and Head Start recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits to help parents provide developmentally appropriate learning activities
• Support families in setting and achieving goals for self-sufficiency
• Assist with recruitment of eligible families for Early Head Start and Head Start programs
• Complete applications and verify eligibility documentation
• Maintain child assessments and family progress records in agency systems
• Collaborate with community partners to connect families with relevant resources
• Plan and facilitate group socializations and parent engagement activities

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field (preferred)
• CDA credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Ability to obtain Home Visitation Training within the first year
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines

Location: Girard, KS (onsite)

Pay: USD 16 - 19 per hour

Work details: Travel between locations in an agency-provided vehicle; Monday–Friday schedule.
