Job Description

Pennex Aluminum Company is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to guide the hourly, full‑cycle recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding at our Leetonia, Ohio site. This role partners with production and hiring managers to clearly define roles, post openings, and secure high‑quality talent in a timely, compliant manner. The position is onsite and offers a clear path to contribute to manufacturing staffing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and staffing gaps
  • Design and implement strategies to attract qualified candidates
  • Draft and refresh job descriptions to reflect business needs
  • Keep the staffing plan current with active openings
  • Maintain consistent staffing for production roles
  • Work with staffing partners to balance temporary resources and full‑time hires
  • Source candidates via job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
  • Post openings internally and externally to attract talent
  • Build and sustain a candidate pipeline for future opportunities
  • Review resumes to identify qualified applicants
  • Conduct phone, virtual, or in‑person interviews to assess fit
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide candidate recommendations
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the process
  • Extend job offers and facilitate onboarding, including pre‑employment screening
  • Complete lifecycle tasks to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Serve as a liaison between candidates and hiring teams
  • Promote the company culture and employer brand in the market
  • Represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events
  • Assist with employee retention and growth initiatives
  • Support strategic Human Resources initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years in recruiting or talent acquisition
  • Manufacturing recruiting preferred
  • Desire to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing environment
  • Highly motivated, self‑driven, and eager to learn new skills
  • Attention to detail with reliability in completing tasks
  • Flexibility to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Strong organizational skills and clear communication
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System required; iCIMS preferred
  • Knowledge of recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
  • Solid interviewing, sourcing, and candidate assessment abilities
  • Negotiation and decision‑making capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Project management and change management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Up to date on federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to optimize workflows
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen
  • Eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
  • Regular attendance required

Compensation

Posted minimum pay rate: USD 50,000.00 per year
Posted maximum pay rate: USD 62,000.00 per year
