Jones Networking is seeking a Payroll and Human Resources Manager to lead payroll operations for a property management firm in Hunt Valley, MD. This onsite role offers a salary of USD 100,000 - 105,000 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to work as part of a collaborative leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, with supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

As the Payroll and Human Resources Manager you will own payroll operations across multiple states and serve as a key member of the leadership team. You will handle payroll processing, respond to employee inquiries, and ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery. Specific responsibilities include:

Manage payroll processing across multiple states
Answer payroll questions from employees
Review and approve payroll for accuracy
Update any payroll records
Issue paychecks
Enter new hire information into the system
Complete verification of employment
Support internal and external audits
Coordinate payroll tax filings, quarterly reporting and year-end activities
Maintain confidentiality with employee information

Requirements

The role requires a background in payroll, leadership experience, and strong technical skills:

5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Supervisory or team lead experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experience with payroll tax reporting
