Stevens Point Auto Center is seeking a Human Resource / Accounting Clerk onsite in Stevens Point, WI to manage payroll data processing, employee records, recruitment and onboarding, HR programs, compliance, and select accounting and reception tasks.

Responsibilities

Review time sheets, time cards, and work charts to verify time data accuracy.
Enter payroll information into the payroll system and confirm payroll accuracy; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare tax forms such as 1099s.
Maintain employee records related to employment and payroll data.
Source, interview, and onboard qualified applicants; collaborate with department managers to define required skills and competencies.
Coordinate background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Lead new hire orientations.
Administer routine HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, safety, and training and development.

Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
Stay current on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Perform other duties as assigned, including some accounting and reception tasks.

Support handling of inbound and outbound payments, including preparing payment runs and following up on pending transactions.
Liaise with Banks or payment service providers on routine operational matters.
Flag discrepancies or exceptions to the German Finance team for resolution.
