MBP seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to support both Talent Acquisition and day-to-day HR activities. The role is structured around recruitment support and HR administration, with a focus on candidate coordination, onboarding readiness, and accurate employee record management.
Role Overview
This position dedicates approximately 75% of the time to recruitment support and 25% to HR administration. Work is completed onsite in Vienna, VA and operates under the general supervision of the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the recruiting team across the hiring process by coordinating recruiting activities, maintaining candidate records, assisting with sourcing efforts, and supporting a positive candidate experience.
- Post and manage job advertisements across recruiting platforms, company websites, and industry-specific job boards.
- Use the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruiting tools to track applicants through the selection phase, including collecting onboarding documentation.
- Source qualified candidates through online platforms, resume databases, referrals, networking events, and sourcing tools.
- Coordinate interviews and maintain communication with candidates regarding scheduling, onboarding requirements, and recruitment updates.
- Prepare offer letters and support pre-employment activities, including background checks, reference checks, and employment verification.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding schedules to support a smooth transition for incoming team members.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and support HR administrative workflows, including I-9 and E-Verify processes, HR reporting, employee communications, and related administrative duties.
- Coordinate and attend job and career fairs.
- Administer the Awards Program, including maintaining inventory and distributing team member service award gifts.
- Process STAR awards and prepare and distribute quarterly recognition reports to managers.
- Assist with the company incentive program.
- Update birthday and anniversary lists for the HRIS homepage.
- Manage inventory and coordinate delivery for new hire welcome boxes.
- Manage the Team Member electronic file management system, verifying documents are filed in the appropriate folders.
- Participate in team meetings and attend other meetings as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information and assist the HR team with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
- Recruiting experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), candidate database, and social media platforms is a plus.
- Experience using HRIS systems and maintaining confidential employee information.
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build relationships.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and determine solutions, while recognizing the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage at multiple leadership levels and apply strong business acumen.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including prioritization in an ambiguous environment.
- Travel up to 30% with occasional overnight trips.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred: SHRM-CP and/or PHR, and other HR certifications.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is USD 65,000 to 68,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
