Job Description

JS International, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator for an onsite role in Fall River, MA. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the position provides administrative support across HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, compliance, and employee engagement.

Compensation

Hourly wage range: USD 20 to 24 per hour.

Location

Fall River, Massachusetts, onsite at 485 Commerce Dr, Fall River, MA 02720.

Responsibilities

  • Source and interview candidates, facilitating qualification for open positions.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to determine headcount needs and identify required skills and competencies.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Address employment inquiries from applicants, staff, and supervisors; escalate complex or sensitive issues to the HR Director.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and implement employee recognition programs.
  • Administer health and life insurance benefits, including enrollment, bill reconciliation, and COBRA paperwork.
  • Prepare and distribute employee leave documentation.
  • Support payroll processing within the Paylocity HRIS system.
  • Maintain employee records within the Paylocity HRIS system.
  • Maintain comprehensive job descriptions along with associated physical assessments.
  • Track and document compliance with mandatory and voluntary training, continuing education, job descriptions, and work assessments, which may include safety training, anti-harassment training, licensure, and required exams or certifications.
  • Perform routine HR duties related to compensation, benefits, and leave; address disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations; support performance and talent management; monitor productivity, recognition, and morale; oversee occupational health and safety; and assist with training and development.
  • Review unemployment claims and respond to employment verification requests.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claims filing and OSHA logs.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and promote best practices; review policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience working with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, workers’ compensation, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands in a calm, logical manner.

Schedule

  • 100% onsite at 485 Commerce Dr, Fall River, MA 02720
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Overtime as needed
