People Operations Specialist

The People Operations Specialist serves as a key resource for employees throughout the full employee lifecycle, helping ensure that onboarding, ongoing updates, and offboarding are completed accurately and efficiently. This role supports the People team by maintaining HR system and process integrity while delivering a responsive employee experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions across the people lifecycle, handling and resolving issues directly or escalating complex cases to the appropriate partner.
• Assist the People team with preparing and processing documentation related to onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle events.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data in Rippling, including job changes, background checks, and other lifecycle updates.
• Support compliance-related processes, documentation, and audits across the employee lifecycle.
• Identify trends and gaps in the employee experience to support process improvements, policy updates, and employee communications.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in People Operations, Employee Experience, or a comparable shared services role in a fast-paced organization.
• Experience creating and improving processes that enhance efficiency and accuracy while preserving data integrity.
• Ability to operate as a self-starter using strong judgment to determine when to own outcomes independently and when to escalate.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to guide program improvements and decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Rippling or another HRIS.
• Working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements across multiple states, with particular relevance to California and Washington, D.C.

Compensation and Location

• Salary range: USD 75,000 - 115,000 per year
• Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite)
