Job Description
Recruiter I will drive full-cycle recruiting for roles across the Environmental, Healthcare & Facilities SBU in Huntsville, AL (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Fill open positions efficiently through direct sourcing using job boards, social and professional networking sites, referrals, and online research
- Conduct cold calling, referral/incumbent calls, and multiple follow-up conversations with candidates identified through all sourcing channels
- Build knowledge of Huntsville-area attractions and the advantages of working at a Government facility to present accurate, comprehensive information
- Fully review each Job Description and confirm candidates meet all requirements
- Review resumes for content and alignment with Job Description requirements
- Negotiate salary per job requisition within approved ranges, maintaining a fiduciary responsibility to the company
- Explain and confirm understanding of time off policy and corresponding pay rate; address applicable items including WDR, 401a, and SCA fringe
- Screen and evaluate candidates’ skill set, work history, education, and (where applicable) negotiated salary requirements
- Validate current state licensing and required certifications; complete reference checks as needed
- Provide the Hiring Manager with qualified candidate(s) that meet Job Description requirements, including brief history, 1–2 references (as required), and CV copies for facility consideration
- Extend employment offers to accepted candidates and communicate contract details including contract hours, length, hourly schedule, time off, federal holidays, and pay rate
- Coordinate start timing based on pre-employment screening and applicable credentialing verification, then send the official offer via ATS or email
- Complete and distribute New Hire Notification (NHN) form
- Support the Credentialing department as needed by answering questions and collecting information for extensive/background security checks
- Maintain ATS integrity by documenting and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System of record for calls placed, emails sent, and candidate eligibility/status; build and maintain a candidate resume database for future opportunities
- Maintain hiring records in compliance with government requirements
- Adhere to all Chenega Corporate employment policies and procedures
- Participate in recruitment job fairs as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recruiting, administrative, or human resources experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including verbal and written interpersonal ability
- Strong organizational skills with diligence to follow up
- Excellent relationship building and management skills
- Outgoing personality with patience, friendliness, and professionalism when working with a variety of people
- Ability to become knowledgeable of company policies, Government regulated discrimination guidelines, acceptable interview questions and statements, and company needs, programs, benefits, and culture

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree
