The Senior Human Resources Generalist at Dunbar Wellness Group leads daily HR operations in Philadelphia, onsite, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management and HR administration within a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for clinical, administrative, and support roles.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate updates, and hiring documentation to ensure a smooth process.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs for all new hires.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment records with accuracy.
- Serve as a primary contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace matters.
- Assist supervisors with performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
- Support initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Conduct workplace investigations as needed while upholding confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Maintain personnel files, credential tracking, and HR documentation.
- Assist with policy implementation and updates across the organization.
- Support audits, licensing requirements, and compliance reporting.
- Monitor employee trainings, certifications, and required documentation.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and HR-related inquiries.
- Coordinate employee status changes with payroll and operations teams.
- Review leave requests and attendance documentation as needed.
- Support staff training initiatives and professional development programs.
- Assist leadership development and performance evaluation processes.
- Contribute to HR projects and organizational improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of HR experience.
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or social services strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Experience with employee relations, recruitment, and compliance management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, with ADP Workforce preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification preferred.
