Recruiting Sourcer
Job Description
Waste Connections is seeking an Recruiting Sourcer to support the Central Region Recruiting Team. This onsite role combines proactive talent sourcing with full-cycle recruiting responsibilities across multiple divisions and job families, partnering closely with hiring managers and operations leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned requisitions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Screen candidates and evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and manage communication between candidates and hiring teams.
- Maintain requisition activity and ensure candidate pipelines are accurately tracked in recruiting systems.
- Support offer preparation and pre-employment processes.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and provide updates on open positions, pipeline health, and hiring progress.
- Proactively identify passive and active candidates using job boards, social media, networking, referrals, talent databases, and direct outreach.
- Develop talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.
- Use creative sourcing approaches to build candidate pools before hiring needs arise.
- Conduct market research and talent mapping to identify recruiting opportunities.
- Generate candidate leads through community partnerships, industry events, military outreach, and local networking efforts.
- Leverage technology and recruiting tools to improve sourcing effectiveness and candidate engagement.
- Build strong relationships with division leadership and hiring managers across the Central Region.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on recruiting best practices and market conditions.
- Participate in recruiting events, career fairs, community outreach efforts, and hiring campaigns.
- Travel to division locations to support recruiting initiatives and strengthen partnerships with field leadership.
- Collaborate with recruiters, HR teams, and operational leaders to help achieve hiring goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of recruiting, sourcing, talent acquisition, staffing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Central Region.
Preferred Experience
- Experience recruiting for operations, transportation, maintenance, skilled trades, or industrial roles.
- Experience using sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, social media recruiting, and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.

Location and Travel
This position is onsite in Englewood, CO 80112. It can also be based in Denver, Colorado or Omaha, Nebraska, and requires regular travel throughout the Central Region.

Compensation
$100,000 - $115,000 in Total Compensation (annual).
