Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter
Job Description
SEK-CAP, Inc. supports families with early learning and community connections, and this Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter role helps keep home-based education moving when regular educators are unavailable. You will also contribute to recruitment for Early Head Start and Head Start. Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly home visits to support parents in providing developmentally appropriate learning activities.
- Help families set and achieve goals related to self-sufficiency.
- Recruit eligible families for Early Head Start and Head Start programs.
- Complete program applications and verify eligibility documentation.
- Maintain child assessments and family progress records in agency systems.
- Collaborate with community partners to connect families with available resources.
- Plan and facilitate group socializations and parent engagement activities.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field (preferred)
- CDA credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to obtain Home Visitation Training within the first year
- CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines
Location: Girard, KS (onsite) • Pay: USD 16 - 19 per hour • Schedule: Monday–Friday
