Overview
Sarasota County Schools is inviting applications for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who brings a relationship-focused approach to attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent district-wide. In this role, you will support the district’s talent acquisition strategy by managing end-to-end recruitment, partnering with hiring managers, enhancing the candidate experience, and developing workforce initiatives that strengthen pipelines and address long-term staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment from posting to preboarding, ensuring an efficient and compliant hiring process.
- Publish and oversee job advertisements, coordinate recruitment activities, review applications, and support candidate screening and selection.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication and guidance throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate collection, review, and processing of preboarding documents for new hires, contracted employees, and non-board appointed staff.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
- Utilize staffing agencies and external partners to support recruitment for hard-to-fill positions.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns, outreach efforts, and partnerships to build strong candidate pipelines.
- Facilitate field experiences, teacher internship placements, and affiliated agreements to support a cohesive student-teacher program and future staffing needs.
- Coordinate the district’s substitute functions, including daily placement oversight, reporting, payroll reconciliation, discipline recordkeeping, and ongoing liaison duties.
- Maintain accurate applicant and hiring data within the ATS and ensure policy compliance and proper recordkeeping.
- Track recruitment metrics such as vacancy rates, qualified applicant rates, and ROI of recruitment events.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, with two (2) years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in high volume recruitment strongly preferred.
- Experience sourcing candidates using a variety of methods (job boards, outreach, job fairs, referrals).
