The HR Business Partner role at Helpside provides expert HR and employment law guidance to clients, managing their experience with our systems and resources from our onsite location in Overland Park, KS.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor for client organizations on HR issues and employee relations.
- Maintain broad multi-state HR literacy to educate clients on legal updates and changes, including accommodations or leaves triggering FMLA, ADA, PDA, PWFA, PUMP Act, and relevant state laws.
- Provide training and accurate benefits information to clients.
- Offer day-to-day guidance on performance management, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions to client leaders.
- Develop, review, and advise on HR policies.
- Handle and resolve complex employee relations matters.
- Deliver exceptional client service across engagements.
- Educate client leadership and staff on a range of HR topics.
- Proactively meet with clients to address questions and concerns.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources.
- Solid knowledge across HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, leave and accommodations, recruiting, and applicable federal and state employment laws.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
