HR Recruiter

AppleOne is seeking an experienced HR Recruiter for a contract/temporary opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role supports a mission-driven education environment by managing high-volume recruiting, engaging candidates throughout the process, and coordinating key steps from interviews through onboarding.

This onsite position blends recruiting operations with HR administration, with support for both hiring leaders and new hires as they move through selection, offer, and early employment activities.

Role focus

• Handle high-volume recruiting needs in partnership with managers and department stakeholders.
• Coordinate candidate movement through interview, selection, and offer stages, ensuring details are tracked and communicated.
• Support onboarding activities, including required paperwork and system updates.

Responsibilities

• Post job advertisements on the company website and external job boards, and partner with managers to clarify hiring needs, department requirements, and role qualifications.
• Source, screen, and evaluate candidates through phone interviews, assessing skills, relevant experience, cultural fit, and interest in the opportunity.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system and coordinate candidate progress through interviews, selection, and offers.
• Manage interview logistics, including scheduling, preparing interview spaces, coordinating travel or accommodations as needed, and arranging debriefs with hiring leaders.
• Conduct reference checks and background checks, prepare offer letters, and support new hire onboarding activities such as paperwork, fingerprinting, HRIS entry, orientation scheduling, and parking coordination.
• Support HR administration including 30/60-day onboarding feedback reviews, coordinating union employee performance review activities, tracking training, updating organizational charts, and maintaining employment records.

Compensation and benefits

• Pay Rate: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
