Human Resource Analyst 3
Job Description
Within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Department of Corrections is seeking a capable Human Resource Analyst 3 to strengthen employee relations across its facilities. This position provides guidance, conducts investigations, and delivers training to management, executives, and HR staff to uphold fair, consistent personnel practices. Based in Cumberland County with a hybrid work setup, the role blends collaborative in-person work with remote flexibility while guiding labor relations within a critical state agency.
Responsibilities
- Offer advisory support to managers on contract interpretation, disciplinary actions, and employee relations matters
- Investigate grievances, analyze concerns, draft responses, and participate in related hearings
- Assess disciplinary requests for consistency and defensibility under established procedures
- Review and conduct investigations to ensure adequate evidence and outline steps to strengthen findings
- Develop and deliver training programs related to employee relations and updates in collective bargaining
- Attend labor management meetings and related sessions, preparing follow-up responses
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch
- Telework potential: up to three days per week from a securely configured home or approved Pennsylvania location; if telework is not possible, you may report to the headquarters in Mechanicsburg, PA. Availability of telework can change at any time, with details provided during the interview
