What we offer

Join a dedicated HR team supporting a state correctional facility in Delaware County, PA. This full-time role features a hybrid work arrangement, a competitive annual salary of $45,907 to $69,203, and a focus on guiding new staff through timekeeping, onboarding, and benefits information. You will play a key role in orientation and employee records management at State Correctional Institution Chester.

Responsibilities

  • Timekeeping Support: Guide staff in using the timekeeping system, assign overtime, troubleshoot issues, and process corrections.
  • Maintain Documentation: Collect and coordinate documentation for leave, separations, workers’ compensation, modified duty, and related matters; track and maintain records.
  • Separation Processing: Prepare required forms, issue notices, ensure property is returned, and unlock records to ensure timely final payout.
  • Track Staff Changes: Submit requests to ensure extra duties are compensated correctly, manage role assignments and work schedules, coordinate the modified duty program, and generate status reports.
  • Employee Orientation: Present time, pay, and benefits information to new employees; provide guidance and answer staff inquiries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: There may be an opportunity to work from home part-time, up to one day per week, with a securely configured high-speed internet connection and an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If telework is not available, you may report to the headquarters office in Chester, PA. Telework eligibility can change at any time.
  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.
