Human Resource Specialist (HR)
Job Description
The hybrid Human Resource Specialist will oversee end-to-end onboarding, credential verification, HRIS administration, training, and cross-functional support to ensure regulatory compliance and a positive employee experience for NeurAbilities in Voorhees, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for designated regions, including new hire documentation, scheduling, and HRIS recordkeeping
- Coordinate background checks, license and education verifications, references, and clearances while proactively communicating compliance status to staff and managers
- Collaborate across functions to deliver a seamless first-day experience
- Enter onboarding data and maintain accurate employee records across HR systems
- Perform new hire and monthly file audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare regulatory reports as required
- Provide training to hiring managers on onboarding procedures and compliance obligations
- Partner with talent acquisition, operations, and payroll, handling confidential information with discretion
- Escalate employee relations issues to leadership when appropriate
- Recommend process improvements to enhance the employee experience and HR efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience); 4+ years in HR/talent management, or 2+ years in an HR role
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and confidentiality standards (including HIPAA)
- Solid problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with an ethical mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with HRIS software
