Human Resources Business Partner
Job Description
The HR Business Partner at Casto Management Services Inc. aligns HR initiatives with the residential property management division’s objectives and oversees recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and related HR operations in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment for the residential division
- Maintain and optimize job postings
- Screen and evaluate candidate resumes
- Coordinate and conduct prescreen interviews
- Arrange interviews with hiring managers in the residential division
- Clarify role expectations with candidates and hiring teams
- Perform reference checks
- Verify past employment
- Draft and extend job offers
- Partner with external recruitment agencies
- Build relationships with colleges and universities for campus recruitment
- Keep job descriptions up-to-date and accurate
- Represent the organization at career fairs and hiring events
- Attend off-site meetings for the residential division
- Oversee onboarding for new hires in the residential division
- Prepare and process new hire paperwork, including offer letters and other pre-hire documents
- Coordinate first-day logistics with hiring managers
- Lead new hire orientation
- Manage the summer hiring program
- Coordinate 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day performance reviews with hiring managers
- Conduct 30-day, 90-day, and 1-year check-ins with new hires
- Coordinate offboarding for the residential division
- Prepare termination letters and separation paperwork
- Conduct exit interviews
- Manage the Cristo Rey Student Work Program
- Serve as liaison between HR and the residential departments
- Maintain staff relations
- Respond to inquiries from associates within the residential division
- Advise managers on employee relations and support counseling discussions as needed
- Provide on-site HR support as required
- Ensure safety compliance and conduct annual safety training for the division
- Track and file residential associate documents in the HR electronic filing system
- Promote the company culture
- Act as a backup for payroll and timekeeping entries
Requirements
- At least 2 years in human resources or talent acquisition/recruiting (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of staff
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations
- Willingness to develop knowledge of company and department policies and procedures

Pay
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
