Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) at Temco Logistics serves as a consultative resource for leadership and employees, partnering to improve organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development, and HR compliance across multiple locations.
Role Overview
In this onsite position in Lacey, WA, the HRBP helps maintain consistency in HR policies and practices while tailoring solutions to the needs of each assigned site. The role supports business priorities through employee relations partnership, engagement initiatives, change management, and the use of HR data to guide decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employees, Regional Directors, General Managers, and operational or support partners.
- Conduct engagement and development visits to evaluate employee experience and morale; identify improvement opportunities and recognize successes.
- Handle employee relations concerns promptly by conducting investigations and working with leadership on resolution steps.
- Follow HR and Employee Relations protocols for escalation and resolution of issues.
- Drive engagement initiatives, including events, surveys, recognition programs, and milestone celebrations.
- Support change management efforts and implement new HR strategies, programs, and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams, including Employee Relations, Compliance, Safety, Legal, Learning and Development, and Recruitment.
- Ensure internal policy and legal standards are followed, including efforts to mitigate litigation risk.
- Use HR data and metrics to inform business decisions and provide progress updates to senior leadership.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws including EEO, Wage & Hour, ADA, and FMLA, while ensuring accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
- 75% to 85% travel required across the designated territory.
- Territory: Northern Territory covering New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine.
Compensation
The position offers a salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 USD per year.
