Job Description
At Dungarvin, you will partner with state and operations leaders across Washington to strengthen employee relations, improve performance conversations, and support investigations in a way that stays compliant and people-centered. This hybrid role focuses on practical HR strategy, workforce planning using data and insight, and consistent guidance delivered through close collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence.
Role Focus
You will serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and employees across business units, helping navigate complex situations, strengthen team effectiveness, and support organizational goals tied to performance and retention. You will also contribute to workforce planning by translating trends and analytics into decision-ready recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees, advising on employee relations, performance management, team development, and organizational change.
- Partner with leaders to address complex scenarios, improve team effectiveness, and support positive business outcomes.
- Lead workplace investigations, manage employee relations matters, track trends and grievances, and deliver practical, compliant recommendations that balance business needs with the employee experience.
- Support onboarding for new leaders by guiding HR policies, benefits, compliance, and people practices while coaching managers to build high-performing, engaged teams.
- Work with HR Centers of Excellence and cross-functional partners to deliver consistent, proactive, and solution-oriented HR support that enhances the employee experience.
- Coach leaders through employee relations and performance conversations, manage investigations, and help ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance across the region.
- Support workforce planning using data and insight to help leaders make decisions that strengthen performance and retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience supporting large, non-exempt populations.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and compensation, including experience across core HR functions such as high-volume recruiting and organizational development.
- Experience with investigations, coaching, employee development, and change or project management.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint), including the ability to analyze data and present actionable insights; Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, multi-state compliance, and diversity & inclusion.

Nice to Have
- Ability to influence and support leaders through coaching and performance management, including prior leadership or mentoring experience (especially in partnership with operations).
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UltiPro (Ultimate Software), or similar systems, plus familiarity with ATS and LMS platforms (e.g., Relias, Cornerstone).
- Background in healthcare, human services, or other regulated multi-state environments.
- Certifications including SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Training or experience in Coaching, Mediation, or Project Management (PMP, CAPM).

Location: Tacoma, WA (hybrid). Compensation: USD 34 per hour.
