Job Description

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a professional-level HR resource for the Galesburg, IL facility and partners closely with senior HR leadership to support day-to-day people operations. This onsite role covers employee relations, performance support, compliance, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits administration, and HRIS management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead new hire orientation and support the onboarding process to help employees transition smoothly into their roles.
  • Administer and execute human resources programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave administration.
  • Provide employee relations counseling, conduct investigations, and lead exit interviewing activities.
  • Support performance management and improvement efforts through coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain HRIS records and compile reports as needed to support HR and operational needs.
  • Assist operations with conflict resolution and disciplinary matters and lead related investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Stay current on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies impacting human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (or related field) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience required.
  • Ability to work effectively with many different departments and people across the facility.
  • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, including prioritizing work and meeting critical deadlines.

Compensation

Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 per year.
