Position Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, the HR Generalist performs a broad range of human resource and agency administration duties. Key areas include employee engagement, HR policy development and administration, agency risk management, acting as the applicant tracking system administrator, and developing employee benefits for customers as part of a new product line.

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with the Senior Manager and provide timely, complete, and accurate reports
  • Align recruiting, retention, development, and evaluation processes for employees
  • Report on key human resource metrics
  • Follow up with managers on opportunities to improve people processes
  • Ensure applicant tracking systems are efficient and serve the mutual interests of applicants and the agency
  • Develop and implement agency risk management initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable human resource laws and regulations
  • Assist in benefits administration for employees
  • With field agents, develop client proposals for employee benefit plans and maintain accurate CRM records
  • Develop and monitor compensation models
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and client information

  • Ability to learn insurance agency operations

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical demands: Occasionally walk, stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk and hear; may lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • The position requires a valid driver’s license
  • Work environment: Fast paced, minimal noise, team orientation

Pay

USD 85,000 - 110,000 per yearly
